Story:
The story of the film Dora revolves around a car. The car is named Dora. And Pavalakkodi (Nayanthara) is a simple innocent girl who is the daughter of a taxi driver. Both of them have this liking for cars and they decide to get a vintage Austin Cambridge car (Dora) for themselves. Later they realise that the car is already possessed by a spirit.Every time when Pavalakkodi enters the car, her behaviour and attitude completely changes. What does the spirit do to Pavalakkodi and what happens in the end will form the entire story of the film.

Performances:
There are too many interesting roles in the film and of all the one that stands out the best is the role played by Nayanthara in the film. Nayanathara is at her usual best in the movie. She has delivered an impressive performance in the film. Nayanathara looks gorgeous in the film and she performed very well in emotional scenes. She is perfectly apt for the role in the film. Thambi Ramaiah played another important role in the film. He is seen as a taxi driver in the film and he has given his best for the film too. Harish Uthaman is seen as police officer and he is good as per the limitations of his role. The film also has Sulile Kumar. All the other actors have made their presence felt.

Technical Departments:
Films like these should have a good and strong technical team. While the performances of the film are impressive, the makers have come with good output. The music by Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon is good. The background score of the film is amazing. The Cinematography of the film is cranked by Dinesh Krishnan. The visuals are brilliant and the DOP did a great job too. The editing of the film by Gopi Krishna is impressive too. The production values maintained by the producers are grand. The running time of 141 minutes is helpful. On a whole, the film is strong in terms of technical aspects as well.

Verdict:
DORA is a crime revenge drama with super natural elements playing their part here and there. The film is not entirely satisfying but it is boring in parts. The film is watchable to some extent. It’s Nayantara’s film all through. The Writing of the film is superficial and unimpressive. However, the major issue the film deals with is noble and Nayantara makes the film bearable. If not for Nayanathara, the film is certainly not the best one. With some good performances and decent technical values, the film Dora turns impressive. Go with least expectations so that you can enjoy the film thoroughly.
