National Silk Mark Expo Launched In Hyderabad
The Silk Mark Expo 2017 has been inaugurated by the Chairman of the Central Silk Board KM Hanumanthrayappa here in Satyasai Nigamagamam on Saturday. Addressing media after the inauguration, Hanumanthrayappa said that the Expo will display four types of silk products including Mulberry, Tassar, Eri and Muga with an objective to provide 100 percent pure quality silk products to the consumers with quality assurance by Silk Mark of India.The Silk Sarees, popularly known as ‘Queen of Textiles’ will be adored by the women folk across the country as they mostly wear them during festivities, marriages and any other special occasions. The expo would help those interested in buying genuine silk not to fall prey to unscrupulous traders. Thereby creating awareness about the importance of pure silk among the consumers. These expos also provide a vide platform for the weavers, societies, women entrepreneurs, traders and NGO’s to create a brand image for their products. All varieties of silk products like sarees, dress materials, scarves, garments, bedspreads, cushion covers and much more from all over the silk weaving clusters of India are on display at the expo. Free silk testing facility is also arranged for the visitors to get their silk products tested for purity. The expo will remain open for 8 days until December 10.
